Torrey Pines Beach

Last month I was in San Diego for my 29th birthday. I have to say, never in my life can I recall being on the beach for my birthday. I think I can get used to it. We spent the entire day at Torrey Pines Beach., named for it's unique leaning pine trees. Some of you golfers may recognize the name from the world famous Torrey Pines Gulf Course, which hosted the Jack Nicklaus win in 1969, Tiger Woods’ course and tournament-tying record scores in 1999 and Arnold Palmer's wins in 1957 and 1961 among others and which will be hosting the 2008 U.S. Open. Pretty sweet huh? Now if only I followed golf.
